These cookies are used to process specific information about you on an individual basis, such as your browser or location data or your IP address.

This type of data processing makes our website more secure, effective and user-friendly, as it allows us, for example, to reproduce our website in different languages or provide a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this form of data processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, as long as these cookies are used to process data for the purpose of contract initiation or performing a contract.

If this processing is not done for the purpose of contract initiation or performing a contract, our legitimate interest is the improvement of the functionality of our website. The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-party cookies

You may prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the necessary steps and measures for doing this depend on the internet browser that you use. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Information relating to usage and users, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to our website, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics in conjunction with the anonymisation function. This means that Google truncates the IP address inside the EU or the EEA.

The data collected in this manner is used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of the visits to our website and the user activities carried out there. This data may also be used to provide further services that relate to the use of our website and of the internet.

along with further information about this tool. This add-on can be installed on all conventional internet browsers and provides you with advanced options for controlling the data that Google records when you access our website. If you install this add-on, it informs the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) that information on your visit to our website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being sent to us or other web analysis services. Information on whether we use other web analysis services, and if so which ones, can also be found in this Privacy Policy.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps on our website to show you where our site is and to provide directions. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

www.privacyshield.gov/participant

In order to display certain typefaces on our website, a connection is established to the Google server in the USA when our website is accessed.

If you use the Google Maps function that is integrated into our website, Google will save a cookie on your device through your internet browser. In order to display our location and generate directions, your user settings and data are processed. We cannot rule out the possibility here that Google will use servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the optimisation of our website’s functionality.

Through the connection established with Google in this way, Google can determine the website from which your request was sent and to which IP address the directions are to be transmitted.

If you do not consent to the processing of this data, you can prevent cookies from being installed by configuring the appropriate settings in your internet browser. For further details, see the “Cookies” section above.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is improving the quality of our website.

Facebook provides further information at

developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

about the available plugins and the way they work.

If the plugin is installed on one of the pages of our website that you visit, your internet browser will download a depiction of the plugin from Facebook’s servers in the USA. For technical reasons, Facebook needs to process your IP address in this case. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our internet pages is also recorded.

If you are logged in to Facebook while visiting one of our pages with the plugin installed, the information about your specific visit collected by the plugin is detected by Facebook. Facebook may link this information to your personal Facebook account. If, for example, you click the Facebook “Like” button, this information is saved in your Facebook user account and may be published on the Facebook platform. If you wish to prevent this from happening, you must either log out of Facebook before visiting our website, or make use of an add-on in your internet browser that prevents the Facebook plugin from loading.

YouTube

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal provided by YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as “YouTube”.

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

www.privacyshield.gov/participant

Google – and therefore also its subsidiary YouTube – guarantees that the data protection provisions of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

We use YouTube in conjunction with the “privacy-enhanced mode” function in order to show you videos. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the “privacy-enhanced mode” function means that the data specified in more detail below are only sent to YouTube’s server if you actually start a video.

Without this enhanced privacy, a connection to YouTube’s server in the USA is established as soon as you open one of our internet pages with an embedded YouTube video.

This connection is necessary in order for us to show you the video in question on our internet page via your internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube records and processes, at a minimum, your IP address, the date and time, and the internet page visited by you. In addition, a connection is established with the “DoubleClick” advertising network operated by Google.

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube will link the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this from happening, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website, or configure the applicable settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purposes of functionality and analysing user behaviour, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your internet browser. If you do not consent to this data processing, you can prevent cookies from being saved by configuring the settings in your internet browser. For further information, see the “Cookies” section above.

We use the advertising tool Google AdWords, including conversion tracking, on our website. This is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield

www.privacyshield.gov/participant

We use conversion tracking to market our products and services in a targeted manner. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the analysis, optimisation and commercial operation of our website.

If you click on an advert displayed by Google, the conversion tracking that we use saves a cookie onto your device. These conversion cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page on our website, both we and Google can see that you clicked on one of our adverts placed on Google and that you were then redirected to our website.

Google uses the information collected in this way to provide us with statistics on visits to our website. It also provides us with details about the number of users who have clicked on our advert(s) and about the pages on our website that are then accessed. However, neither we nor any third parties that also use Google AdWords are able to identify you through these means.

Furthermore, you can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the necessary steps and measures for doing this depend on the internet browser that you use. If you have any questions, you should therefore consult the help function or documentation for your internet browser, or contact the developer or support service.
