Task:
After extensive stocktaking, considerable damage and fractures of the roof structure as well as façade elements were found. Since restoration directly on the façade was not possible, the filigree ornaments were removed, restored by hand and reinstalled. Powerful cleaners were used on the exposed surfaces before cracks were closed with an EP injection resin. The reinstalled fragments were then reinforced with an epoxy adhesive and a silicic acid ester-based stone strengthener. For long-term weather protection, a solvent-free, hydrophobic impregnation and a weatherproof silicone resin paint were applied.
