Superficial measures do not usually help with mould caused by moisture-saturated parts or rising damp in the cellar and the building base. This is where you need a waterproofing specialist that can recognise and remedy the causes of moisture saturation. This is only way to sustainably restore infested surfaces.
If there is a high level of moisture between approx. 70 and 95 % relative humidity, which is often caused by heat bridges, this can lead quickly to mould infestation. Changing behaviour and simply ‘removing’ the mould is not a successful solution. Also, the heat bridges need to be remedied. Capillary-active inside insulation is a durable and comparatively easy solution.
