Bonding layer and coating for mineral substrates with low absorbency
Product specifications
The stated values represent typical product characteristics and are not to be construed as binding product specifications.
Field of application
- Mineral substrates with low absorbency (in-situ concrete formed with plastic sheet lined formwork, solid slab floors made of building elements, precast concrete unit elements produced with steel formwork)
- Bonding layer between "render-unfriendly" substrate and the render to be applied
- Texturing primer
- On ceramic tiles
Properties
- Increases roughness/non-slip properties
- Good adhesive power
- White pigmented
- Coarse filler
- Alkali-resistant
-
Preparation
-
Substrate requirements
Dry, clean, free of dust and cracks (except hairline cracks) and capable of supporting a load.
Free of salts known to be damaging to building materials.
-
-
Application
-
Application requirements
Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5 °C to max. +25 °C
-
Stir well.
Apply evenly to the material using a brush, roller or spray.
-
Application instructions
-
Structural defects such as cracks, cracked joints, defective connections and rising damp must be remedied first.
Take appropriate measures to protect adjacent building elements and materials that should not come into contact with the product.
Please contact Remmers Technical Service (phone +49 5432 83900) before applying with machine processing.
-
Drying
Ready for next coat after 12 hours at +20 °C and 65% relative humidity.
As a general principle, higher temperatures will reduce and lower temperatures will increase the times stated.
-
-
Working tools / cleaning
-
Lambskin roller, flat brush, suitable spraying equipment
-
Clean tools immediately after use with water.
-
Storage / shelf life
-
If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.
-
Usage
-
Approx. 0.2 - 0.3 l/m² depending on the substrate
-
Apply to a large enough trial area to determine the precise amount required.
-
General information
-
The relevant test certificates must be observed when planning and carrying out work.
The current technical regulations must be observed.
Current regulations and legal requirements must be taken into account and deviations from these must be agreed separately.
Always set up a trial area/trial areas first.
