The requirements for industrial floor systems are very diverse. Often, the main priority of these floors is the mechanical load bearing capacity, and also the ability to produce a fast, efficient and economical industrial flooring.
There is a huge variety of car parks and underground car parks ranging from smaller single level to large multi-storey car parks at airports and shopping centres.
Single-coloured flow coats, exciting colour mixes or striking screed floors as well as metalic effects - every floor adds a stunning and distinctive style element to the room.
In order to guarantee personal health and safety, workspaces and floor surfaces where there is a risk of slipping must have a non-slip surface. Substances that cause slipping e.g. oil, water and also dust, pose a high risk for the people in the workplace. From smooth to structured, Remmers offer a range of suitable surface profiles.
In many areas, industrial floors need to have conductive properties. These special floor coatings protect electronic equipment and components against electrical interference and counteract the creation of sparks. This means that the Remmers systems offer the perfect starting point for relaxed working in highly sensitive application areas.
A floor should be able to withstand rising damp and also heavy loads. Water emulsifying epoxy resins from Remmers are economic and ecologically sound solutions for the problem, and have been used successfully for decades to coat floors that are in direct contact with the ground.
Remmers offers many solutions for low-emission and offers AgBB-tested systems for recreational rooms. External approvals and many other classifications e.g. with respect to DGNB and LEED, for dealing responsibly with natural resources, show that in the Remmers philosophy the word 'sustainability’ is not only written but also complied with!
A balcony or terrace offers many people a sense of freedom and a place to relax. Therefore, a coating system for this field of application should not only be easily and quickly applied, but also have a nice appearance. Remmers offers this flexibility with quality and certainty.
Modern agriculture works at a high technical level and based on cost savings. This requires products for sustainable, safe protection of workshops, stores and handling areas. Be it pig, beef or poultry farming, wheat growing, dairies or the production of bio-energy - we always have the optimum solution for you. Guaranteed!
Coating systems - the perfect solution for every floor
After in-depth analysis of the existing substrate, a suitable coating system can be selected and installed. The systems include coatings from seal coats through to screeds and conductive systems. Additional details for specific system design are required for detailing such as plinths etc.
Sealers have a protective effect against light to medium loads, and offer an economical option for a layer thickness of up to 0.5 mm.
Properties:
- Reliable protection (e.g. against weak acids)
- Follows the surface substrate
- Economical
Application:
- Floors subject to light to medium loads
- Production areas and warehouses
Flow coats can compensate smaller areas of unevenness on the subsurface. The material is distributed evenly and flows on to create a smooth surface. A layer of a thickness of up to 3.0 mm. Depending on the system, an anchor saw cut may be required according to the information in the technical information sheet.
Properties:
- Self-levelling
- Pigmented
- Medium mechanical and chemical resistance
- Smooths out smaller areas of roughness
Application:
- Areas without sliding agents that need to be non-slip
- Areas with dynamic loads
A broadcast floor comprises a flowable base coat into which the blinding materials are added in full (e.g. quartz sand). After setting, the unbound excess is removed and a topcoat is applied. The layer thicknesses may vary between 1.5 and 9.0 mm. Depending on the system, an anchor saw cut maybe required according to the information in the technical information sheet.
Properties:
- High mechanical, thermal load capacity, depending on the system
- Non-slip surface
- Can be set individually
Application:
- Permanently wet areas
- Metal processing industry
- Food industry
The screed floor has the lowest amount of binding agents and a finely matched filling material grading curve. The mortar mix should be applied with a squeegee and then smoothed out with a trowel. The layer thickness is at least 4.0 mm. Depending on the system, an anchor saw cut may be required according to the information in the technical information sheet.
Properties:
- Very heavy mechanical laod
- Compensates larger areas of unevenness
- Slip-resistant
- Can also be installed on ramps
Application:
- Areas where slip resistance is required
- Substrates where no displacement factor is specified
