By installing so-called ‘soft segments’ it has been possible to develop silicic acid ester-based elasticised stone strengtheners that demonstrate a greater tendency to create a film than classic strengthening products. Elasticised stone strengtheners are excellently suited for structural strengthening of valuable renders. If existing renders only need to be covered and painted, it is recommended using products that react quickly and effectively. Silicate-based strengtheners are better suited for this than silicic acid ester-based strengtheners.
